Last night, we had the busiest reception since I joined the Waverly St. Gallery four years ago. Guest artists brought in a wide range of media and styles, some of which stood out for their intricacy, whimsy, and humor.

I was particularly drawn to the prints by Jun Lee and Ryan Ives. Lee’s color layering gives a 3-D impression that makes you look again. Ives’s Kids in Masks Series is colorful and fun.

The show runs through March 5.
